Sophie and Jesse

More understanding. More connection.

You may recognise the same difficult conversations happening again and again: feeling unheard, becoming defensive, or struggling to say what matters without creating distance.

Speak to Be Heard Mastermind explores Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and practical ways to bring more awareness, honesty, and empathy into those conversations.

This may be for you if you want to:

  • Express your feelings and needs more clearly.
  • Listen with curiosity during difficult conversations.
  • Explore patterns that keep conflict recurring.
  • Practice a more conscious way of relating.

Understand your emotions

Recognise your reactions and the needs beneath them.

Communicate with clarity

Find words for what matters, and listen with curiosity.

Deepen your connection

Bring more understanding and care into your relationships.

RECOGNISE THE PATTERN. FIND A NEW WAY.

When the same conversation keeps happening

A familiar conversation

Perhaps a small disagreement turns into a familiar argument. You try to explain yourself, your partner becomes defensive, or one of you goes quiet. Underneath it all, you want to feel heard, understood, and close again.

A different way of responding

Speak to Be Heard Mastermind is an invitation to look beneath the surface of those moments: to recognise your emotional patterns, understand what matters to each of you, and practice a different way of responding.

This may be for you if…

  • Navigating a difficult season

You are navigating tension, doubt, or a difficult period in your relationship.

  • Feeling disconnected

You care about each other, but your conversations leave you feeling disconnected.

  • Wanting to speak honestly

You want to speak honestly without blame, criticism, or shutting down.

  • Understanding your own patterns

You are single and want to understand the patterns you bring into relationships.

  • Bringing NVC into daily life

You already know something about NVC and want to bring it into daily life.

What you’ll explore and practice

  • Say what you really mean without blame.
  • Stay present when conflict becomes heated.
  • Move beyond silence, defensiveness, and shutdown.
  • Listen in a way that creates understanding.
  • Make honest repairs after difficult moments.
  • Understand your emotions and the needs beneath them.
  • Express needs and set healthy boundaries.
  • Use simple NVC-based sentences in everyday life.
  • Recognise patterns behind recurring arguments.
  • Build more clarity, emotional safety, and connection.

Through guided practice, you can bring more awareness and choice to the moments that matter—and begin to respond with greater clarity and care.

What is Nonviolent Communication?

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) offers a way to express yourself honestly and listen with empathy. It helps you notice what is happening, recognise your feelings, understand the needs beneath them, and make clear requests.

Observe

Describe what happened without turning it into a judgment about the other person.

Feel

Recognise what you are feeling, rather than expressing an accusation.

Need

Connect with what matters to you: perhaps care, understanding, trust, or space.

Request

Ask for something specific, with room for an honest response.

For example, instead of “You never listen,” you might practice: “When I’m speaking and you look at your phone, I feel disconnected. I’d like your attention. Would you be willing to put it down while we talk?”

The work goes beyond learning a sentence structure. It includes listening, understanding your own reactions, and finding language that feels natural to you.

THE LEARNING JOURNEY

Learning that moves into real life

The Speak to Be Heard Mastermind approach combines self-paced learning with live online group coaching led by Sophie and Jesse. You build a foundation, then bring your questions and everyday relationship experiences into guided practice.

01 · SELF-PACED FOUNDATION

Transformative Communication

Build your understanding, at your own pace.

  1. Your experience with conflict.Notice what happens for you when tension arises.
  2. It’s time to shift your approach.Explore a more conscious response to differences.
  3. A good look at our language.Recognise how words can invite connection or distance.
  4. A closer look at your needs and feelings.Connect your reactions to what matters underneath.
  5. The four-step NVC technique.Bring observation, feelings, needs, and requests together.
  6. Steps to success.Make these practices part of everyday conversations.

02 · LIVE ONLINE MASTERMIND

Speak to Be Heard Mastermind

Bring the learning into your real relationships.

  1. Relationships explained.Understand the patterns you bring into connection.
  2. Observation in depth.Separate what happened from the story about it.
  3. Emotions in depth.Meet strong feelings with awareness and empathy.
  4. Needs in depth.Explore what matters to both people.
  5. NVC integration in practice.Bring the tools to real situations and questions.
  6. Repair, requests, and daily connection.Practice asking clearly and reconnecting after tension.

The emphasis is on applying what you learn: understanding your patterns, practicing honest expression, making space for both people’s experiences, and finding a constructive way through differences.

About the next group

The previous offer was a six-week programme with six 90-minute online coaching sessions, six self-paced NVC modules, guided workbook exercises, and a supportive group space. The next group’s dates, schedule, duration, price, and included resources have not yet been confirmed. Joining the waiting list keeps you informed when those details are announced.

Practice, guidance, and a sense of community

Learning a new way of communicating can be easier when you have a place to ask questions and practice with others. The programme is built around an intimate group setting for sharing, reflection, and support, alongside practical exercises to use between sessions.

Practical resources

The previous programme included digital workbooks, a student notebook, an NVC sentence practice guide, and 108 Questions to Rebuild Intimacy. These resources supported reflection and conversations beyond the live sessions.

Support beyond a lesson

Group coaching, questions for Sophie and Jesse, and community discussion helped connect the teaching with real situations. The community format and support arrangements for the next group will be shared when announced.

MEET YOUR GUIDES

From tension to connection: our own experience

Sophie and Jesse sharing a moment together on a white sofa
Sophie & Jesse · Learning, living, and practicing together.

There was a time when Jesse and I could turn a simple conversation about dinner into an argument. We talked and talked, yet felt unheard and disconnected—close in our lives, but distant in the conversation.

Discovering and practicing a different way of communicating helped us listen, understand one another, and approach difficult moments more constructively. Our relationship became a place to keep learning and putting these tools into practice.

That experience is part of why we share this work. We bring both our teaching experience and the reality of being a couple who continues to practice what we teach.

25 yearsof individual and couple coaching experience
1,250+lives enriched through our work
10 yearsof workshop leadership

For over two decades, we have explored self-development and integrated these practices into our own lives. Our intention is to share that experience and help you develop more conscious, fulfilling relationships.

A little about me

I’m Sophie Parienti, a relationship coach, author, media entrepreneur, and founder of YOGI TIMES, one of the world’s leading wellness media platforms. I have spent more than 25 years working directly with couples in crisis and over 30 years in the world of self-development and human behaviour.

Couples come to me when every other avenue has been exhausted. My work is not therapy. It is a structured, emotionally intelligent process that addresses the pattern beneath the pain, not just the presenting problem.

In my own marriage of over two decades, I have experienced first-hand the depth of work that conscious, lasting love requires.
